Hello Fellow Stampers ~
My goodness!! Friday, and then Saturday, ended up being MUCH busier than I had anticipated; and so this post I was planning is going out to you all MUCH MUCH later than I ever imagined! Especially since the "Fabulous" projects for today's post have been sitting on my work table for several days now. AND, they're so pretty, I could hardly wait to share them with you!! So, what could possibly be my excuse - LOL!!
So, let's take care of SAB Thursday/Friday business first ~~ Thursday's Blog Candy Giveaway . . .
The Winner of the Thursday "Thoughtful Blooms Bundle" Blog Candy Giveaway is ~
Trish McDaniel
Trish commented (over in the Facebook Group) that her favorite Coordination Product is the Ladybug Dies!
I think they're pretty fabulous too Trish!!
Thank you everyone for participating!
There will be one more giveaway this coming week - so stay tuned!!
Today's project focus is ALL on the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set, the coordinated Small Bloom Punch, and the Coordination Product, Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper. You will also see the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Sending You Thoughts. All of these products work beautifully together!!
I have been so yearning for Spring in the past week or so. I'm tired of snow and cold!
I went shopping at Kohl's a week ago, and found myself snapping up all the new Spring outfits and purses! Bright pretty colors & flowers, that's what I want!! LOL
What I discovered in the one area I was shopping was that the "in colors for Spring" this year are yellow and blue - oh my!! Two colors that I ADORE together!!
So using that inspiration, I just couldn't resist playing with those color combinations for my "Spring Forward" cards today!!
My first card was definitely all about the bright sunshiney yellow with a "pop" of bright blue for contrast.
I used Blueberry Bushel and Pineapple Punch for my two basic colors on this card ~ and the Shimmery White center piece carries the day with dainty little flowers; and easy "punch" coordination using the Pleased As Punch DSP!
I love the "jaunty angle" to this card; and all the shimmery rhinestones in the flower centers that I snagged from the Holiday Rhinestone Jewels collection - perfect blues for the centers of my little blue flowers!
Do you notice a new product in this picture?? Stay Tuned!! We'll be showcasing something VERY special later this week -- Coming Soon!!
I stuck with the blue & yellow theme for this pretty card; but toned down the colors a little (although the camera brightened them up a fair amount).
I created my own background with the wonderful Thoughtful Blooms stamp set using Seaside Spray and Night of Navy inks. The card base is Seaside Spray; and the matting and little yellow flowers are all So Saffron ~ a yellow I don't reach for often, but was perfect for the softer more subtle look I wanted here.
I added lots of Clear Wink of Stella on the flower petals across this Shimmery White cardstock background. With the added rhinestones and the metallic Seaside Spray ribbon, this card really shimmers in the light.
I shifted gears slightly for the third card, and pulled in purple instead of blue.
This white-on-white (background to cardbase) background allows the eye to draw to the focal point.
I used some of our new So Very Vellum Specialty DSP in the Purple Posey for a light lavender strip down the center; then once again cut a piece of Shimmery White cardstock for the stamping centerpiece.
I snagged a little bit of the yellow metallic baker's twine; and added some rhinestones from the Noble Peacock collection this time.
This is such a fun Springy collection that I have just loved seeing it sitting on my work table every time I've gone through the room the past couple of days!! I definitely needed the cheery "lift" that these sweet little cards give me!
Don't miss out on your Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set, Small Bloom Punch, and Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper pack.
