How ironic!! I was checking my post log, and the last time I did a So Saturday post was when I did a birthday card for my Mother's birthday!! Today's post is for her Mother's Day card!! How quickly the time does pass!!
Today's card design is a "remake" of the one above from last year. I thought I had posted this up, but can't seem to locate the blog post. So either I just can't find it; or I didn't get it shared with all of you -- which makes me a terrible sharer -- LOL
It's funny how similar, and yet just how different these two cards look from each other.
For this year's card I used the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut cards as the base - these intricately cut laser cut "ready to go" card bases are just the best!!!
The back ground "lining" is Pretty Peacock; which "collection" I used throughout the entire card.
The center panel is a piece of Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper; with an over layer of Vellum to soften the look; and wrapped in 3/8" Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon, before being added to the card front.
A combination of the Ornate Frames Dies, Nature's Thoughts Dies, & Detailed Peacock Dies create a beautiful layered chic look to sentiment area.
You will find the perfect sentiment for this holiday in the Strong & Beautiful stamp set - both for the outside . . .
. . . as well as the inside!!
The pretty feather images comes from the Positive Thoughts stamp set - how lucky we are to have both these sets in the upcoming Annual Catalog!!
