I'm foregoing a CASE-Out Thursday this week to catch up a post that I wanted to put up two weeks ago already -- yikes!! That's when mom was here recovering from her TAVR procedure for her heart; and I just did not get things finished and written up like I wanted. So now that things are settling in, she's back home recovering very nicely, and I can concentrate on other things - LOL - we're going to get back on schedule.
The World of Good Suite is most definitely one of my top picks from the new Annual Catalog. It rates extra high for me also in terms of masculine sets available to us this year. It's going to make it "a world of good" (LOL) for creating wonderful cards for the men in our lives!!
I combined the new Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy colors in this card; along with the wonderful new Brass Foil, to create a really lovely "antiquey" old world feel to this card. Let's take a closer look at some of the details.
First I embossed a piece of Night of Navy cardstock with the die "emboss" piece in the World Map Dies. Then I attached Antiqued Corners to each corner of that cardstock piece.
Take a closer look at this wonderful die in this set - it embosses word into your paper, rather than making a "cut" of your cardstock. Be sure to use the correct "sandwich" when running this thru your die cutting machine.
The designer paper has been embossed with the new Old World Paper 3D embossing folder. This gives extra wonderful texture to the designer paper.
I cut the globe overlay and stand, and the curly embellishments all out of Brass Foil.
The new Faux Suede ribbon lays in the background to add some extra detail; and the delightful Gilded Gems are the perfect finish.
