Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Oh My Goodness!!! I cannot even begin to tell you how sorry I am about last week!! It was NOT my intention to suddenly "take a week off" from the blog, and crafting fun with all of you!! Work overtook me last week; it was absolutely the worst week!! Yuck!! And a VERY short weekend!! I'm hoping for . . . and looking forward to a slightly calmer week! And a 3-day weekend ahead for sure!!! Seems like I just can't keep up around here all of a sudden!
So I had a wonderful project planned for last Monday; but we will save that for next week. And instead . . . we'll play with "Christmas In July" this week!! I've been looking forward to this for awhile; and hope you will enjoy some "Holiday Fun" with me this week!! It helps that we have a brand new "holiday catalog" right around the corner, don't you think?? 😉😉😉😉
We're going to kick things off a little bit rustic, and just a bit whimsical and fun!
Many of you saw the adorable Merry Moose stamp set & Moose Punch in last year's Holiday Catalog. What you may not have realized is that the set did not actually retire; it just went into hibernation -- LOL
As luck would have it, Stampin' Up! carried forward a number of wonderful items from last year's catalog - and brought them back in this year's Holiday Catalog. We're going to visit with those this week; and intertwine a few new products to tweak your curiosity as well!! heehee (I'm so mean!)
This fun card is created on a Crumb Cake card base - with an additional layer of Crumb Cake that I stamped randomly with the two tree images from the stamp set! I loved creating this fun background to peek out behind our Merry Moose!
The front panel is Brand New -- yes sirree!! This a piece of the new Plaid Tidings designer series paper - which you will be seeing very soon - page 57 of the new August-December 2020 Holiday Catalog. I love plaids, and this set of paper has plaids for both Winter and Fall seasons! Fabulous!!
Now I have a fun technique to share with you today!
The ribbon in this design is actually from the Annual Catalog - This is the 1/2" Vanilla Open Weave ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack that I like so much and have used before (in fact just recently HERE).
Today I filled on of my Stampin' Spritzers with 70% alcohol, added about 12 to 13 drops of Cherry Cobbler re-inker, and sprayed the ribbon this nice lush color; let it dry good; and then I was set to go!! Isn't it pretty? And easy way to use your favorite ribbon and just change the color!!
I used the leftover piece after I snipped the tails to create a fun scarf for my moose which was stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock, and easily punched out with the Moose Punch.
Don't miss the cut little bell tied around the bow -- ahhhh yes!! Another one of our wonderful products from last year that was carried forward into this new catalog! You'll find returning products marked throughout the new catalog with the words "Returning fave!" in red ink!
