Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Well, last week got away on me a little bit -- so catch up for 2 weeks of 16 Weeks of Christmas will happen this week. Sorry about that!! So here's today's installment (last week's overdue fun - 😁😁). And I'll be back later with some additional fun for you as well!!
The days are cooling on us suddenly - had to turn the furnace on yesterday - yikes!! But I was able to put a pot of apple cider on the stove yesterday afternoon; and I'm enjoying pulling out my Fall cozy clothes finally! So . . . let's play with a little Christmas today; and we'll bring back some Autumn fun later this week!!
Today I'm featuring our gorgeous Forever Fern bundle from the Annual Catalog; with a Holiday twist! I had intended on offering an online/virtual class with this set late this Summer (and haven't pulled it off yet); and I may still do so this Fall. But in the meantime, I just cannot resist showing you just how versatile this stamp set is!! I absolutely love this stamp set and die bundle. I've added accessories and other items from our Holiday Mini and elsewhere to create a fabulous set of cards for the Holidays!
Let's start with the first design.
Both cards are cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock -- this one cut 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2".
Both cards have layering with Champagne Foil accents and Whisper White cardstock in the background embossed with the Bricks & Mortar 3D Emboss folder - a lovely "rustic" background.
On this card, the mid-Cherry Cobbler layer has been embossed with the Tasteful Textures 3D Emboss Folder.
Wondering how we got the fabulous "champagne" speckling across the card front?
I used our Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (did you forget about this wonderful product??). Using the wonderful speckle image in the stamp set, I used the Champagne Mist ink in place of our classic ink and stamped it across the front of the card.
This design uses an "outside the box" color that you may not have thought of for a Christmas card - Pretty Peacock!
And I LOVE the way this looks. Cherry Cobbler with this color is absolutely fabulous!! I encourage you to try it!
The leaf spray is stamped directly onto the front panel; while the berries are stamped on a scrap piece of paper and die cut, and then popped with dimensionals. The card is embellished with the gorgeous3/8" Real Red Sheer Ribbon.
The sentiment for this and our second card today is taken from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. Did you miss this on the stamp sale last week? It's a "must have" for your stamp stash!!
I finished this card off with some very carefully applied Wink of Stella on the berries and Champagne Rhinestones.
The second card is a "horizontal" top fold card - cut 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4".
The mid-layer on this card is a lovely piece from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP. This time around the top panel is embossed with the Tasteful Textures 3D Emboss folder; and then our splatters added again with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.
For this card all of the leaves and berries were stamped separately on scrap Whisper White, and die cut.
The Itty Bitty sentiment is cut out with the circles in the Stitched Shapes Dies; and framed using circles from our Layering Circles Dies.
I added Champagne Foil leaf sprays and again finished off the card with our beautiful ribbon, Wink of Stella, and Champagne Rhinestones.
These two cards are easy to put together, and carry a lot of impact! Perfect for a set of Holiday cards this upcoming season!!
Stay Tuned!! More to come this week 😉😉😉
