Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~
It's the 2nd Wednesday of November, and the holidays are barreling at us full speed!! I've started some Christmas preparations; and we're trying to figure out what Thanksgiving looks like around here this year with new Covid restrictions coming into play around the area. So I'm thankful to be snug in my Studio and joining the Stampin' Pretty Pals for our monthly blog hop today!!
This month our Design Team’s theme is “Pile It On” – showcasing our card or project with layers of DSP and/or embellishments for any occasion. We hope you enjoy and will be inspired!
You may be starting the hop here or you may be hopping over from Debbie Mageed at Secrets to Stamping. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. When you're done perusing today's project, you’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move or “hop” along your way from Pal-to-Pal.
This is one of those card designs that ended up in a totally different direction than what I was first thinking in my head.
And by the time it was done, I looked down and went, huh . . . this card was totally created with dies and paper -- no stamping!! LOL
This card is truly all about the layers and fun!
Starting with a Thick Whisper White card base, cut 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4" (fold to the top).
Then a layer of Silver Foil, before overlaying a piece of silver image foil from the Feels Like Frost DSP.
I wrapped those two layers with the Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker's Twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack - perfect for this blue, white & silver project!!
Then I picked two more pieces / images from the Feels Like Frost DSP, and cut them using the new Curvy Dies. If you haven't tried these yet, you just gotta get 'em!!
Those two pieces were popped with dimensionals at the top and the bottom.
Then I cut two trees using the Pine Woods Dies and another piece (silver foil side) of the Feels Like Frost DSP, and layered those in using dimensionals and tucked among the curvy layers.
But that wasn't enough layering for me -- LOL
I pulled out the Joy Dies (which I just got by the way - LOL), cut the larger "base piece" from Seaside Spray cardstock; then I attached Silver Foil to a Foam Adhesive Sheet and cut out the detailed word "Peace"; and then pulled off the backing and attached it to the base; and then glued that in place on the front of the card! I adore how nicely the foam pops up the cut out word! It's sooooo pretty!!
I finished off the "sky" on the card with a scattering of Snowflake Sequins.
This card is such a soft pretty color, and just sparkles!!
I finished off the inside of the card with some more layering -- Yeah!!
And finally . . . . a little stamping!! LOL
What I LOVE is that this sentiment is from the Dove of Hope set and the font exactly matches the die cut out on the front; so you wouldn't even know they're from two different set. I just love how well Stampin' Up! works their coordination across their entire product line; don't you??!!
I hope you have enjoyed my project today!!
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop, which will be Wednesday, December 9th when our theme will be “Goodbye August-December Mini Catalog and Hello January-June Mini Catalog.” Participants will showcase their favorites from the retiring holiday catalog or sneak peek new products from the new mini catalog.” Be sure to join us next month for this fun transition! 😉😉
I Love to hear from you. Leave your questions or comments below!!
Until Next Time . . Puppy Hugs, . . .
