A Week of Sale-A-Bration ~ A Touch of Ink

Hello Fellow Stampers ~

Well, I lost a day and a half somewhere -- LOL.  It has been a busy week!  I've been preparing for our first class in probably more than 8 months (maybe longer); and although we will do it virtually, I'm excited to get things going again.  However, not having folks here in person means a lot more work; and since it's my Annual CD Holder Calendar class, it has taken a fair amount of work.  After we have class on Saturday, I'll share some of the fun with all of you -- next week 😉😉😉

 

At any rate, I have been back to working on Sale-A-Bration fun and we're closing in on finishing out showcasing all the wonderful products Sale-A-Bration has to offer this year.  We'll be culminating with my number one pick in the Sale-A-Bration brochure!  So stay tuned.

 

Before we get to that last installment however, we have two more wonderful products to review and showcase today -- the very pretty Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper and the oh so gorgeous A Touch of Ink stamp set; one you can snag at the $50 minimum purchase level; and the other at the $100 minimum purchase level!   The Touch of Ink stamp set is a 2-step stamp set, with a wonderful collection of both images and sentiments!

And these gorgeous cards were created using these two products!  Let's sneak a closer look!!

 

My first card uses a piece of Rococo Rose "Ombre" with the open circles image scattered randomly across.  You can see the "white" of the ombre in the upper left-hand corner down to the darkest color in the lower right-hand corner.

Against this I cut a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using the Ornate Layers Dies, and stamped the flower and hummingbird "detail" images in Memento Tuxedo Black. Then I pulled out my favorite Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and went to town.

I finished off my images with plenty of Clear Wink of Stella for LOTS of shimmer; and some lovely new Pastel Pearls.

That new Double Oval Punch is quickly becoming one of my favorite "go-to's", and makes layering a sentiment like this easy peasy!

 

On my second card design, I chose the "plain" Bermuda Bay ombre against a Daffodil Delight background for a nice bright look.

Then I stamped the leaf branch in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Shimmery White cardstock; then used the 2-step stamping process by using the second stamp to lay in Mint Macaron ink over the leaves images.  Then I die cut it out with the Layering Ovals Dies; the butterfly was stamped on a separate piece of Shimmery White cardstock, again using the 2nd stamp image to lay in Daffodil delight ink, and then fussy cut the little guy out; then adhered it to the oval just where I wanted it 😉😉

 

2-Step stamp sets make stamping with ink so incredibly easy and the effect is so lovely, with just a touch of a "watercolor" feel.  Once against I added plenty of Clear Wink of Stella to my images to create lots of shimmer, and finished off with Pool Party Holiday Rhinestones to add even more shimmer and shine!

A Week of Sale-A-Bration ~ Darling Donkeys to Fall In Love With!

Hello Fellow Stampers ~

Well, somehow the 3-day weekend went right by me in a swirl!  Not sure how that happened; but I do feel like I had some good Studio time in.  Both sewing and card designing.  It's nice to have quiet hours to just create!

As we slip into the final week of January, we're playing with Sale-A-Bration goodies here at DDS Studios.  We have such cute things this year; and LOTS of pretty papers too!

 

 

I have two #1 favorites in the Sale-A-Bration brochure this season; and this is definitely one of them!

The absolutely adorable Darling Donkeys stamp set, is exactly that!  Darling!!  😍

Paired with pretty paper, and our fabulous new Many Hearts Dies, it's Cupid's Arrow straight to your heart!

 

These little cuties are sending their love on a background of Paper Blooms DSP (also a SAB item showcased last week), and surrounded by sweet hearts cut from the new Many Hearts Dies.  Each donkey has been stamped with Smoky Slate classic ink, and colored with Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends markers.  Let's take a closer look at each card design.

This was the first of the 3 cards that I designed.  On each of these cards I used the Layering Ovals Dies to cut out the donkey images and create layering.

These were then laid out with corresponding sentiments and heart cutouts.

And then finished off with twine bows and corresponding pearl embellishments.

This card in Rococo Rose and Smoky slate.  Pretty, pretty!!

Isn't he just the sweetest thing?!?  😉

This one in Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy.

And I pulled out the recently retired Iridescent Pearls for this one -- I hope you got a stash of those gorgeous pearls!!

And this one a combination of Rococo Rose and Night of Navy both!

The sentiment on this one was put on the same oval as the donkey - because he just has the sweetest little smile, don't you think?!

A Week of Sale-A-Bration - Approaching Perfection in Paper Blooms

Hello Fellow Stampers ~

We're having a relaxing quiet Saturday here at DDS Studios; how is it going with all of you??  It's the first day in awhile that I haven't felt like I had to get a million things done around the house which is nice!!  I did meet a friend at our local sewing shop this morning and caught up on our project ideas and shared some fun for a little bit; I'm VERY addicted to the embroidery projects since I got going last June - LOL.  It's always good to have multiple creative outlets if I do say so!  

Ran a couple errands, and now it's just hanging at home and playing.  The husband has started a new puzzle; we're planning on ordering in pizza . . .  I couldn't ask for a better day really!!

 

Once again, I am showcasing two of our Sale-A-Bration products in today's card design.  I hope this will feel fun and a little bit different for everyone!

Again, I wanted to showcase one of our fabulous Designer Series Papers ~ Paper Blooms DSP ~ being offered in the SAB brochure; along with one of the stamp sets.  The papers this cycle definitely steal the show!  And again, you can only get this beautiful set of paper for FREE when you place a minimum order of $50.

But it was really when I pulled this paper out of the collection that my mind went wild -- I immediately smiled in anticipation of creating the card you see today!  I could immediately see so many possibilities with this paper!  It's just so fun!!

 

So what I did was pull out the Layering Circles Die, and just start cutting out the different size circles in the paper -- it was fun, fun, fun!!  😉😉

 

Then I layered them on the front panel of White, laying some flat, and popping other with dimensionals.  I trimmed off at the edge where I overlapped circles off the paper; easy to do!!

Now comes the fabulous new Approaching Perfection stamp set - again FREE with a minimum $50 increment order.  This set, if you haven't looked at it closely yet, is beyond cheeky and adorable!  I love any sentiment set that brings some tongue-in-cheek stye and a smile - and this one has both in spades!!

I also like the clean block font to this stamp set.

I am also using a Brand New punch that you will find on page 65 of the new catalog - the Double Oval Punch!  This is a must have staple in your stash -- so snag it, along with it's bundled stamp set (Oval Occasions). 

 

The inside of the card sports another example of the fabulous sentiments in Approaching Perfection, and the cute balloons image from that set.

 

Do you think it's as cute and fun a card as I do?!?  LOL  I'm loving it -- it's everything I imagined it to be!

A Week of Sale-A-Bration - Corner Bouquets

Oh My!  While my car is in the shop getting some MUCH needed repairs, we are hanging out in the DDS Studio and doing all sorts of fun creative things; while the hubby works on a puzzle across the way in the TV/Library room.  It's all VERY cozy -- LOL 😁😁

Today I'm showcasing Two (2) Sale-A-Bration stamp sets; one a fabulous sentiment set, and one an image set.

The Corner Bouquet stamp set is one I think is getting passed over as maybe "not interesting" or too simple or something along those lines.  I'm not sure; but I do know this is a wonderful little stamp set, and one you should not miss.  When paired with any sentiment, it makes for a wonderful and easy card design.

I have created two cards today using Corner Bouquet to showcase some options for you!  Let's take a closer look at each card design.

 

I haven't made a "square" card in awhile; so I'm breaking the mold for a little bit and creating a finished 5" x 5" card for this design (cut your cardstock 5" x 10", score @ 5").

I tapped the gorgeous new Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate in Highland Heather, and backed it with some Daffodil Delight cardstock for a really pretty effect.  I emulated those colors when I stamped the larger corner bouquet (using my Stamp-a-ratus).  I colored each area of the stamp using Stampin' Write Markers (Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight), then used the "huffing technique" to re-moisten all the inked areas and stamped the image.  I love how this turns out!

 

I finished off with Clear Wink of Stella on the flowers, some fabulous new Pastel Pearls.

I also created one of my favorite "looped" bows in the new Gorgeous Grape 3/8" Sheer Ribbon.

This pretty card paired with the wonderful sentiment from the Heal Your Heart stamp set, will make the perfect sympathy card right when you need it!

On the inside of the card, I stamped the corner bouquet again, in Smoky Slate, stamped off once first, to achieve a soft image that sits in the "background" so you can write your message right over it; and added the sentiment near the bottom from the same Heal Your Heart stamp set.

 

Here's an alternative that would make a great "masculine" thank you card.

This color combination in this design is soft and subtle - Early Espresso, Basic Black, Soft Suede, Gold Brushed Metallic, and Very Vanilla.

The measurements for the panels on this card are as follows:

Basic Black - 3-1/2" x 4-3/4"

Soft Suede - 3-3/8" x 4-5/8"

Gold Brushed Metallic - 2-5/8" x 4-1/8"

Very Vanilla - 2-1/2" x 4"

I also embossed the Soft Suede panel with the new Painted Textures 3D Embossing Folder; then overlaid a Square Vellum Doily for added extra texture and interest.  This also allowed me to offset the top panel, which is popped with dimensionals.

In this design, I used the smaller corner bouquet image from the stamp set, stamped in Soft Suede and then embossed it with Clear embossing powder.  I added the sentiment from the Heal Your Heart stamp set, and did the same thing.  The whole thing was finished off with a combination of Matte Black Dots and Champagne Rhinestones.

It's a really nice little card!

 

I finished off the inside of this card very similarly to the other one, using Crumb Cake, stamped off once, for the bouquet.
