I feel like things are just crazy in the Studio right now. You should see what all is lying on my work table!! Yikes! I am feeling just a tad overwhelmed at the moment; with all that I've already designed and is awaiting to be shared with you; and what I still want to play with. Plus, I've been busily getting ready for my Annual Valentine Class this coming Friday evening ~ we'll be meeting virtually, so everyone that signed up has to have a class kit in their hands!! Busy Busy!!
I do love Valentine's Day though, and there are lots of pretty things to play with available across our catalog offerings. Today's feature showcases the new Forever & Always Bundle. I think this set, and today's design, can effectively be used for both or either a wedding card OR for a gorgeous Valentine for your sweetie!!
There are lots of luscious layers to this card; and lots of fun details.
I chose Magenta Madness as my pop color against the black and white of the True Love Designer Series Paper; I really wanted the color to stand out - and boy does Magenta Madness fit the bill!!
This card base is actually cut from Basic Black (something I don't do too often); and then there are two background layers set in place. The first is Magenta Madness cut 5-3/8" x4-1/8"; with the floral images of the designer paper cut at 5-1/4" x 4".
The inset layer is another piece of Magenta Madness cut 3-1/4" x 4-1/2"; with the patterned DSP cut at 3-1/8" x 4-3/8".
After that it's all about details, details, details . . . and lots of beautiful dies!! LOL
First I used the gorgeous new flowered/filigree edged heart die in the Floral Hearts Dies, cut from Basic Black cardstock, and laid it over the middle panel to lie in the background.
Then I chose a spray of flowers from one of the floral images in the True Love Designer Series Paper, colored it with a combination of Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Magenta Madness Stampin' Blends, and fussy cut them out. They are adhered flat over the die cut out behind them - beautiful, isn't it ??
Here you can catch a glimpse of the Wink of Stella that was added to the flowers - they glimmer like mad in the light!!
Then I switched to the Always Dies. In this die set you get the detailed word to die cut; and you also get the basic die that cuts around the word (if you stamp it using the stamp set). This gives a lovely layered background for this effect. The "Always" has been popped with dimensionals over the ribbon that was wrapped around the center layers, as well as the heart and flowers layered in the background.
The bow has an extra piece tied into it from the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon to create an extra shabby chic feel.
I carried in the color scheme to the inside of the card; using the black heart that cut out of the center of the detailed die placed on the front of the card.
Then I stamped the "Together" from the Forever & Always Stamp Set, and cut it out with one of the angled labels dies you'll find in the Always Dies set.
I might not be able to give this card away -- LOL. It really is pretty!!
