Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~~
Howdy Howdy!! Welcome to Hump Day!! 😁😁
Today is the regular Stampin' Pretty Pals Blog Hop day! But as I indicated back in February, I'm taking a break from the Pals Blog Hop for awhile. Sooooo . . . if you were visiting the Pals Blog Hop today, you saw the theme centered around "family." Today, we're going to call our closest Friends "family"!! Because, for many of us they are! And I'm going to share an elegant card with you, featuring a stamp set that for me, is a favorite in my repetoire!
I'm excited that Forever Fern is carrying forward to our new Annual Catalog. This set quickly became one of my top favorites last year. It has so much to offer; and with the coordinating die set, it just exudes pure elegance as far as I'm concerned!
The pieces for this card are cut as follows:
Thick Basic White card base: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored @ 4-1/4"
Blushing Bride mat: 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
Pear Pizzazz mat: 4" x 5-1/4"
Basic White background: 5" x 3-3/4" - this piece is embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3D Emboss folder.
The Blushing Bride mat is set on the Basic White cardbase, as usual.
Then the Pear Pizzazz mat is set at a slight angle to the Blushing Bride; and the embossed Basic White at the opposite slight angle. This makes for a fun offset look. The offset layers are wrapped with a piece of 3/8" Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon before being adhered to the card base front.
I snagged the pretty circular piece (with the laser cut edges) from the Dandy Garden Laser Cut Paper package. I used our fabulous new Blending Brushes to cover the piece with Blushing Bride ink. The brushes are so soft and gentle that you can't even hurt the intricate laser cut pieces when blending color on ~ I just love it!!
The sentiment is stamped in place (slightly to the right of center on the circle) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Then I layered a gold foil leaf from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper Package behind it before adhering it to the card front.
I stamped and die cut several images from the Forever Fern set in Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride and tucked them around the circle.
Then I finished off with a Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon bow, a smattering of Opal Rounds (I love how these embellishments pick up the color underneath and around them); and added some Clear Wink of Stella to my stamped stems. You can just catch the glimmer/shimmer here in this photo.
I think the inside is just as pretty as the outside; and leaves the perfect space to write a note to that special friend!!
I think this pretty card is the perfect statement to let a friend know how much they mean to you - especially friends you consider to be "family."
I hope you have enjoyed today's card design -- don't miss our Facebook Live series over on the DDS Business Facebook Page ~~ "Why Did I Buy That!"
