Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Happy Monday Everyone!! Time to kick off another fun week!!
And interestingly, my oral surgery got cancelled at literally the "eleventh hour" on Friday; after the Surgeon and I consulted and determined that I was having too many lingering Covid symptoms and it would be dangerous to put me under anesthesia!! Yikes!!! Sooooooooooo, I'm grateful for that actually. And we'll look forward to finishing off this implant in early December instead and hope I'm whole and healthy by then!! My goodness, this virus is frustrating!! 😁😁
So I had a nice weekend resting, and playing in the Studio on various projects instead. And now it's time for our Week 3 of our 4 Weeks of Halloween fun we're having!! Today's project is inspired by my up-upline, Mary Fish; but, of course, with my own twist on the creative fun!
Sometimes I think we have SO many wonderful products available to us, that we tend to forget things. Thank goodness for Mary to remind us of our ADORABLE Mini Paper Pumpkin boxes (the CUTEST!!) Perfect to create little gift box with the Frightfully Cute bundle.
To kick off this project, I first took a Blending Brush and colored the entire box in Pumpkin Pie classic ink.
Then I created a base for my Belly Band using this wonderful chevron patterned designer paper (black & orange) from the Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP pack. I cut this Belly Band 3-3/4" x 12"; overlapped the ends on the back, carefully creased, and made sure the Belly Band would slide on and off easily, and then adhered the ends together. Belly Band base is ready!! 😊😊😊
Then I decided to add a piece of Metallic Mesh Ribbon around the center for some added texture - you know me, I gotta have a "bow" somewhere, even if it's a fake one -- LOL
I cut two spider webs using the Frightful Tags Dies from Black Glitter Paper, and then carefully attached them (using plenty of glue dots) so that they actually attach to the back side of the Belly Band (the Belly Band holds everything so that you just slide it on and off the box, and it never gets ruined!!).
From there I built the center focal point, using some of Mary's measurements, but altering the pieces and parts to suit my own little Halloween scene.
Including a cute little spider, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, appearing to drop from our artfully attached spider web!!
I stamped the moon using Bumblebee ink; and used the coordinating die to cut it out.
And I just could NOT resist the little owl. He HAD to sit in my tree to whoo whooo to whomever gets this treat!
I finished off with a "Happy Halloween" sentiment, also cut with the coordinating die, and a few Matte Black Dots.
Here's the box with Belly Band slide off -- see how perfectly that works?!?
Love it!!
I hope you have loved my cute little "gift box" today ~~ and are ready to snag this adorable bundle and make a few of your own!!
