Hello Fellow Stampers ~
It's Hump Day already this week! I hope everyone is having a good week, and finding time to squeeze in some crafting time. Sometimes just having that time to step away from the craziness can be so therapeutic!
I've discovered that I have so many things I want to try, and so many bundles and sets that I haven't touched yet in this current "holiday mini" catalog, that I'm running out of time!! Yikes! We'll do the best we can; but may end up not getting to everything!
Eden's Garden Collection - Item #160849 - $82.00 USD
I'm putting this week's spotlight back on the current Eden's Garden promotion.
Get this fabulous suite of products early - the stamp set and dies will be in the new 2022 January - June Mini Catalog - and enjoy!
The designer papers and gems will not be available after December. And you don't want to miss out on these beautiful products.
To see more details about this bundle of products, check out last week's Spotlight Post.
Instead of staying within the "springtime" theme and feel of this product suite, I decided to step outside the box and create a Holiday-themed card with pieces of the Eden's Garden products. This turned out so beautiful; I wish you could see it in person!
I used only the dies, a couple of pieces of the designer series paper, and the Garden Gems in this design.
Let's walk through it together!
Design Colorology . . .
This card contains several sets of layering that really create basis and color scheme for the design.
1. Start with a Basic White Thick cardbase (8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored @ 4-1/4" - landscape/horizontal orientation).
2. Layer a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Gold Foil (the mid-gold in the Brushed Metallic Cardstock collection), over a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Cherry Cobbler and adhere to the card front.
3. From the "variegated greens" pattern in the Ever Eden Specialty Designer Series Paper pack, cut a piece measuring 4-7/8" x 3-5/8" from the mid-tones of that variegation; then adhere to a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock measuring 5" x 3-3/4".
4. Next, wrap a piece of Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2" Metallic Ribbon around those layers; then adhere to the center of the card front so you have a nice gold foil edge showing.
Now cut the largest detailed vine leaf "oval" die in the Eden Dies from a piece of the Evening Evergreen w/ Gold Foil leaf/vines design in the designer series paper pack, then adhere to the card front using multi-purpose glue on the widest leaves only.
Next, cut a piece of Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum that is 3" x 1-1/2"; and round the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch.
Next, pick a sentiment (the one featured is from the Merriest Moments photopolymer stamp set), stamp in Versamark, and heat emboss with Gold Emboss Powder.
Cut from the same Gold Foil as used in the layering mats with the smallest vine oval in the Eden Dies. Then adhere this around the edge of the Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum piece you just prepped.
Cut from Cherry Cobbler with the same die; then snip apart and uses pieces to "tuck" into the Gold Foil edge you just made using glue dots.
Finally, pop this finished piece in the center of the card front using dimensionals - "hide" your dimensionals in areas behind the embossed words so they won't show too much!!
Finish off with a Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic Ribbon bow; and those gorgeous Garden Gems (I used the small round gems; not the diamond-shaped gems).
