Hello Fellow Stampers ~
How is everyone this fabulous Monday Morning!?! I had a VERY exciting and fun weekend!! It was time for Demonstrators to "attend" OnStage @ Home (Stampin' Up! convention) I put "attend" in quotes because as you can see, for the 2nd year in a row, it was "at home" in your jammies. Which, truth be known, I actually really like. Because I can watch in the comfort of my home, and multi-task at the same time.
We saw some amazing demonstrations this weekend, by demonstrators from around the globe; and TONS of new products coming our way!!! I have indeed seen the new 2022 January thru June Mini Catalog (AND Sale-a-Bration) ~~ and all I can is . . . Oh My My!!! We are ALL in trouble!! 😂🤣😂 What;s coming is FAN - TAB- ULOUS!!! We are going to be awash in FUN this next quarter! I'm so excited, and so looking forward to what's coming!!
So now I have to balance our current holiday fun; with the New!! LOL I have decided that Monday Mix-Up for the next several weeks will be mostly "sneak peek" days as we move forward so I can start sharing new products and get you excited for what's on the horizon!! If you need a Spring Catalog, and are looking for a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, feel free to reach out. I'd love to assist you!!
We're kicking things off this week with the new Blessings of Home bundle.
This lovely stamp set and die set features 2 lovely sprays of flowers, and some incredible sentiments.
What I love about this set, is not only the coloring opportunities (I LOVE to color!), but also the sentiments in this set.
You can easily "separate" out the bold larger portion of the sentiments from the smaller. And I'll showcase that for you today!
The dies both border the larger floral sprays to easily die cut them out; as well as give us some lovely, dainty detailed cut-outs that give you tons of options for creativity.
The paper I'll be showcasing today comes from the new Heart & Home DSP collection.
This paper has a gorgeous set of floral designs, some with cute bees scattered throughout; and then the backside features different woodgrains and geometric designs in a soft white/gray that makes them very versatile. We'll look at these more closely in the weeks ahead!
The design I pulled from this paper collection for today's card design features "diretional" floral sprays in Pale Papaya and Garden Green.
With this fabulous "colorology", I pulled out coordinating cardstock and the In Color Vellum to create a simple and easy design that showcases the floral image that is centered to draw the eye.
This card is on a 4-1/4" x 11" (scored @ 5-1/2") Thick Basic White card base.
I cut a background mat of Pale Papaya, measuring 4" x 5-1/4"; the inset featured designer paper measures 3-3/4" x 5".
Then the final background piece is the Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum, measuring 4" x 3". It's the perfect size to allow the DSP to show around the outer edge; AND, it shows through the Vellum nicely as well.
I did something a little different when I stamped this beautiful floral image - I stamped it in Garden Green (rather than say, a Memento Tuxedo Black).
Then I pulled out Light Pale Papaya, Dark Daffodil Delight, and Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends, to create a soft color palate for my flowers. I kept the coloring simple and clean -- and these flowers look really sweet. I finished off with a little Clear Wink of Stella on the petals and smaller flowers.
Here is where I highlighted just a portion of one of the sentiments in the set, by taking the Pale Papaya Stampin' Write Marker, and simply inking ONLY the "Thank You" portion of the sentiment. After stamping, I trimmed out the sentiment; attached a piece of Pale Papaya & White 1/2" Woven Ribbon to the back; then popped it with dimensionals along with the popped flowers.
Here you can see I finished off by tucking some Soft Sea Foam die cut "sprays" around the popped floral image.
And look at our new Basic Matte Dots that will be in the new catalog -- these in Basic White!!
I'm so excited about all these new products! How about you ?? 😉😉😉
Tomorrow begins the Seasonal Sale; and we'll revisit that in the morning. See you then!!!
I Love to hear from you. Leave your questions or comments below!!
Hugs, . . .
