Today' card design features this beautiful collection.
I've chosen to play with my favorite trend right now - the slimline card - and turn it horizontally this time; something I haven't done before.
This orientation worked well with today's layout, and I really enjoyed playing!
This slimline is the same as my previous - 7" x 8-1/2", scored @ 3-1/2" on the 7" side.
I then layered Evening Evergreen, Gold Brushed Metallic cardstock (did you forget about this gorgeous collection of cardstock? carried forward from last season, page 32 of your 2021 July-December Mini Catalog). Then a beautiful piece of the Ever Eden DSP overlaid in the background.
Then I cut two pieces with the edge die in the die set, one in Evening Evergreen, and the other in the Gold Brushed Metallic, layered them together, and wrapped a piece of Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave ribbon around the die layers, before attaching them to the lower front of the card.
Then I put together one of my "Gift Box Bows" as I call this hand-looped ribbon creation (you loop back and forth, attaching each loop underneath, until you get to the number of loops you want), and attached it to the edge of the dies.
Finally I created a Gold Embossed sentiment with some lovely die cut leaves tucked in (I made some of these with the cotton paper stacked together in 2 layers); and finished off with some of the beautiful Garden Gems.
The resulting effect is a truly elegant card!
