CASE-Out Thursdays - Guest Stamper, Trish McDaniel

Hello Fellow Stampers ~

Happy Thursday All!!  I'm off to an afternoon of sewing fun!  But before I go . . .  I want to share today's VERY special CASE-Out design!

One of my fabulous customers, Trish McDaniel, is an incredible card creator also!  And she recently "CASE'd" the card on the front of our January - June Spring 2022 Catalog.  It was so fabulous, I asked her if I could feature her on the blog, and she acquiesced.  So here we are!!  😁

 

This gorgeous card is an unusual size in order to accommodate the scene and windmill in an appropriate dimension.

So this card measures 10" x 7" - and you score at 5" on the 10" side.  It is a top fold card - obviously 😉😉

Trish use Daffodil Delight cardstock for her base; and then the gorgeous Flowering Fields DSP for the overlay panel from which she used the Stitched Layering Rectangles to cut the "window" opening.

The "window" cut out panel was popped with some good dimensional tape -- so it is very sturdy!

Then she used Soft Succulent to create the 1" x 7" sentiment strip, which was heat embossed with White Emboss Powder.

As with most CASEing, you take the idea and make it your own ~ so here Trish chose Daffodil Delight as the background to the windmill; then used Misty Moonlight as the detailed overlay and the windmill blades.

The beautiful scene in the cutout is created with both a piece of the designer paper, and stamping and die cutting!!  

I think I love the fenceline the most!!  Incredible job Miss Trish!!!  😍😍

Wednesday Spotlight - Slimline Cup of Tea Card

Hello Fellow Stampers ~

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!!  We've had our first full day with the fabulous new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.  I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the new products so far.

In the Spotlight today, I'm highlighting a fun new suite of products from the new Annual Catalog - the very first suite featured in the catalog - the Tea Boutique Suite of products!  This is turning out to be a pretty adorable set, with lots of fun options to create fabulous designs.

 

The Tea Boutique Suite includes the Cup of Tea stamp set and Teacup Dies (bundled for a 10% savings); the fabulous Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper (6" x 6"); and the new Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes set - all cut, scored, and made fabulously pretty for you!!  Not another thing you need to except add your stamps, ink, and paper layers on top!!

Today's card is a Slimline design (8-1/2" x 7", scored @ 3-1/2" on the 7" side), showcasing a cut stack of "porcelain" tea cups.  I actually LOVE vintage tea cups and collect them.  I have some beautiful ones inherited from my great-grandmother, and grandmother; and others I have found at vintage shops.

This set of "faux porcelain" (LOL) tea cups are cut from the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper, which makes it fabulous easy!!

And I've "precariously" stacked my tea cups for a fun showcase.

I layered the new Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet In Color cardstocks to create my color theme and background; and then chose my designer papers to coordinate against that background.

The Basic White Panel was blended with Parakeet Party ink using a Blending Brush; and then I added a few stamped flowers, using the image in the stamp set, lightly stamped along in the background.

Then I laid an overlay of doilies using the back side of Heart & Home Doilies - a nice vintage touch.

Then the cups are "stacked" inside each other using dimensionals to attach them to the front of the card.

I attached stamped and die cut leaves tucked here and there among the cups.

Added a tea bag "label" in the top cup.

And finished off with lots of fun iridescent rhinestones from the retired Garden Gems pack.

A few lemon wedges, and a die cut sentiment, encouraging my recipient to get together soon, were added near the bottom!

And this sweet and adorable card is ready to go in the mail!

Use our Slimline Envelopes to send this off!!

Mix-It Up Mondays ~~ A Jar of Flowers for Mom

Hello Fellow Stampers ~

 

Happy Monday All!!  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  It was a flurry of activity here leading up to the Annual Catalog Kick off event on Saturday afternoon; and then after that, I just had to collapse!!!  LOL

 

 

The displays and samples were completed and up.  The ladies got to see a sampling of new goodies available this week; and touch and see new designer papers, stamps, dies, punches, and more!!

The ladies made make 'n takes, including a "sample sheet" of all the current In Colors showcasing ink and cardstock.

And later we made 3 wonderful make 'n take cards.

But first we gathered for afternoon "tea" and a Catalog Stroll, giveaways, and special gifts.  Everyone now has all their pages bookmarked, and their Wish Lists well under way -- it's going to be a fun year!!!  😍😍

 

But before we start showcasing all sorts of New Products!!  Let's re-visit a wonderful set that is actually carrying forward to the new Annual Catalog and we're going to be able to continue playing with this next year.

Jar of Flowers is a set I haven't actually played with in awhile.  The last time I inked up this set, I created a pretty Sunflower "jar of flowers" for early Summer.  You can see that design HERE.  

Today I picked a different spray of flowers to feature from this stamp set.  I figure, it's May - time for May Day, right?  And I'm so ready for Spring and flowers in the garden.

 

I picked soft greens and lavenders for today's design.  A Basic White card base, 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4".  Then a background mat of Soft Sea Foam, overlaid with a new designer paper (sneak peek) from the brand new - a few hours from release - Tea Boutique designer series paper pack.  I overlaid that with a piece of Vellum; everything die cut with the Scalloped Contour Dies.  The final "layer' before the jar of flowers, is a Heart & Home doily that has been flipped to its back side.

The jar and the flowers are all stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored with a lovely variety of Stampin' Blends (Stampin' Up!'s wonderful alcohol markers).  The jar is punched with the coordinating punch; and I fussy cut the flowers.  Then everything is layered together with some additional stems punched from Soft Sea Foam cardstock and Vellum using the Bough Punch. 

When the layering was all completed, I popped the piece on the front using dimensionals; and finished off with a lovely double tied bow of Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia 3/8" Sheer Woven Ribbon, and some beautiful Genial Gems (retiring as of tonight!).

I was originally going to make this a birthday card; but changed my mind when I realized it was Mother's Day at the end of the week!  So I snagged the simple sentiment from the Flowering Tulips stamp set, and punched it out, layered it and added it to the front of the card.

Now, what Mother wouldn't love to get that bouquet of flowers!! ? 😊😊
