Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Happy Thursday!! I am so glad it's my last "work day" of the week!! Whew! It's just been a crazy week. Tomorrow we have the carpet layers arriving to finish up the stairway work that was started earlier this month. Then we'll have a beautiful finished stairway and brand new banister railing. I'll have to take a picture to showcase it to you!!!
In the meantime, it's a flurry of activity here at the Studio, as I start getting ready for the Annual Valentine Class on Saturday. We have a fairly full house on Saturday, which means LOTS of Valentine fun!! LOL
Today's Sale-A-Bration showcase is the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper.
Earn it FREE with a $50 purchase (total before shipping and tax) during Sale-A-Bration! Offer ends Feb 28!
I'll be honest - I've had trouble with this paper!! I think it's because it feels so "dark" to me. It just hasn't called to me.
However, it is slowly growing on me, as as I'm seeing more ideas among my demonstrator group, I'm seeing more opportunities.
Did you know that this paper coordinates with a bundle in the new 2023 Spring Mini Catalog?
Take a look at the Fragrant Flowers Bundle! Now this I LOVE!!
Today's showcase with show both the paper and this bundle to help you expand your creativity.
The nice thing is that the smaller flower die in this die set, actually coordinates to some of the paper designs.
One other thing I'd like to take a moment to point out -- this bundle is being offered in both cling (Item #160460) and photopolymer (Item #162379). This is a "test" that Stampin' Up! is running this catalog on four bundles to see which is more popular. So get the style you love the most!!!
I've used two different colorways for todays designs, along with one set of flowers is stamped; and one is fussy cut!
Let's take a little closer look!
This card showcases the one side of one of the designer papers, in a lovely Fresh Freesia geometric design.
It is offset with Blackberry Bliss ink and cardstock, for a nice offset of color.
You'll see that I used the beautiful stitched scallop die that you will find in the Penned Flowers Dies for the 3-1/4" x 5-1/2" Blackberry Bliss background mat to the Fresh Freesia designer paper.
These flowers were stamped with the Fragrant Flowers stamp set, Memento Tuxedo Black, then colored with Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss stampin' blends. They are easily die cut with the coordinating Fragrant Flowers Dies.
The other thing I like about this stamp set is the bold sentiments, which have a nice coordinating die to cut them out with.
Card was finished off with Pastel Pearls in the upper-right hand corner.
This card showcases a Petal Pink and Calypso Coral color combination.
These flowers were fussy cut from the designer paper, which was easy to do -- and takes out all the coloring work!
The beautiful sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in our Annual Catalog, and was die cut using the Beautiful Shapes Dies.
Ignore the ribbon and Polished Dots - LOL
They are from my retired stash -- some of my favorites!!
I carried the beautiful scalloped edges to the inside of the card, and will finish these off later based on the recipient!!
As you can see, it's easier than I thought to have this paper grow on you; especially with a stamp/die bundle that coordinates with it to create really beautiful designs!!
The next couple days will be all about getting ready for the Valentine's class, so we'll be back next week with more Sale-A-Bration Fun!
Stay tuned - and have a great weekend!!
