Hello Fellow Stampers ~~
Well, it's the 2nd Wednesday of the month, and that means it's the Stampin' Pretty Pals Blog Hop day. As I continue to "sit out" the Blog Hop itself, we'll carry on in parallel as we have been.
This month, the Pals are CASEing the Annual Catalog. CASEing (Copy and Share Everything) is a really easy way to take inspiration and either "Copy" it or use it as a launching point and make the design your own.
Today we're CASEing the fun project you see below. You can find this fun project on Page 39 of your Annual Catalog.
But instead of a "gift bag", we've turned it into a fun card design.
I actually used elements of this fun gift bag in the final card design, including the 2023-2025 In Color Treat Bag in Moody Mauve, which I cut apart for use in my design.
WHAT I LOVE! I actually really love these treat bags with their country gingham check design. When I first looked at this project, I immediately thought to myself, that I could cut that little bag apart and use it as a "designer paper" for my background.
Cut your card base from Thick Basic White cardstock, 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored @ 4-1/4".
Cut a piece of Moody Mauve cardstock 4" x 5-1/4"
Then cut apart one Moody Mauve Treat Bag, and then cut the front panel to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8", and layer it to the Moody Mauve panel. Attach the final layers to the front of the card base.
Using the Nested Essentials Dies (I think this is a fabulous set that is getting missed!!), cut the largest "diamond shape" from Basic White cardstock. Punch a "slit" in the top using the Very Best Trio Punch. Then stamp the ferny leaves image from the Cottage Wreaths set using Old Olive classic ink, stamping off inbetween stamped images, creating an arc / circle around the center of the die cut.
On a separate piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the 3-little leaf image from the Cottage Wreaths stamp set using Moody Mauve classic ink; and then die cut those out with the coordinating dies.
Then attach those randomly on the "diamond" tag we're creating, using a glue dot for each. Add a little Clear Wink of Stella to each for a nice little shimmer.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock stamp the sentiment using Moody Mauve classic ink; then die cut with the largest banner in the Stylish Shapes Dies. Attach the sentiment across the center of the "diamond"; and pull a piece of Moody Mauve Jute Trim through the punch slit and tie a bow.
Attach the finished piece to the front of the card using dimensionals (at a slight angle); and embellish with Moody Mauve In Color Dots.
Layer the inside of the card with a piece of Moody Mauve card stock (4" x 5-1/4"), overlaid with Basic White (3-3/4" x 5").
Add a strip of the Treat Bag (left from your cutting the panel above) and trim at the bottom even with the Basic White cardstock (strip should measure approximately 7/8" x 5").
You're set to go!!
