A Week of Sale-A-Bration - Cradled In Love

Hello Fellow Stampers ~

How is everyone so far this week??  We've been quite busy here at DDS Studios.  The Annual Valentine's Class was delayed one week due to our snowstorm, and so that is now coming up this Saturday.  And another snowstorm is threatening!!  Yikes!!  But we're going to proceed with Valentine's fun anyway!  Hopefully we'll stay cozy and safe!

In the meantime, I'm continuing to have Sale-a-Bration fun, and am excited to share today's product focus for you!  It's not a set I was first drawn to, probably because there are not a lot of "babies" in our circle of family and friends right now ~~  but, you never know!!  LOL

 

The Cradled In Love stamp set can be found on page 7 of your Sale-a-Bration brochure, and upon closure inspection is really quite adorable. 

There are six "pieces and parts" to creating your cute little cradle; and six sentiments that you can mix/match to create a lovely greeting. And I love the font(s)!!

This card is cut from Thick Basic White cardstock, 11" x 4-1/4", scored @ 5-1/2".

The layering is done using Boho Blue and this pretty pattern from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.

All the images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black in, then colored with Stampin' Blends.  I used Boho Blue on the little throw rug, and a combination of Boho Blue and Light Balmy Blue on the Cradle itself. The little blanket is colored using Soft Sea Foam Green and Light Boho Blue.  There's even Wink of Stella in just the right places for some glimmer and shimmer!

While the Mobile is stamped directly to the Basic White panel, the Cradle was stamped on a separate piece and fussy cut (as was the cute little elephant), and popped with dimensionals.  This is an easy fussy cut, and gives the card lovely dimension.

The cute whale on the mobile is colored with Light Snoky Slate and Light Balmy Blue (on his underside); as is the cute little elephant.  Lemon Lolly is the color of choice for the Mobile's Moon and Star.

Indeed, I did stamp the sentiment on a separate piece of Basic White and very carefully fussy cut it out.  Although I did not "pop" this with dimensionals, it gives a nice feel of "dimension" on the front of the card instead of just stamping the sentiment directly to the Basic White panel.  This also allowed me to separate the sentiment and align it in a more pleasing manner to the eye.

This sweet little "nursery" is finished off with a small Balmy Blue & White 1/2" Variegated Ribbon bow.  

It might be a boy 😉😉😉  LOL

A Week of Sale-A-Bration - Watercolor Melon with Softly Sophisticated

Hello Fellow Stampers ~

Happy Tuesday!  We're kicking off our week of Sale-a-Bration fun here at DDS Studios.  I'm finally getting a chance to pull out and ink up some of these fabulous stamp sets, and play with other products from Sale-a-Bration. 

I've been itching to play with some of these fun products, especially the Watercolor Melon stamp set that's the focus of our creative fun today!  I took inspiration from our catalog/brochure, and online, and came up with this lovely design.

 

The adorable Watercolor Melon stamp set is on page 4 of your Sale-a-Bration brochure (and there are some fun samples there to inspire you).  The set is a 2-step stamp set and the images have lovely "variegation" to the stamping to give a realistic look.  You can earn this set FREE with a minimum $50 USD order.

 

This card is cut from Thick Basic White cardstock, 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2".

The background layer is comprised of Garden Green and a cute piece of Diagonal Gingham Plaid from the Glorious Gingham 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

The focal layer is matted with Garden Green again, and the Basic White has been embossed with another wonderful Sale-a-Bration product.

The Softly Sophisticated Bundle can be found on page 14 of your Sale-a-Bration brochure, and is one of our $100 level selections.  For a regular order of $100, you can choose this stamp set and embossing folder bundle as one of your FREE products.

The Basic White layer on this card front was stamped with the sentiment from the stamp set in Pretty Peacock, and the layer was then embossed with the Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing Folder.  This is such a pretty embossing folder.

The layers are all put together as normal and attached to the front of the card base.

Then I cut a strip of Basic White that is 1-1/2" x 4-5/8", stamped the cute leaf image from Watercolor Melon in Parakeet Party, Garden Green, and just a little Pretty Peacock classic inks.  The strip is wrapped with a piece of 1/8" Lemon Lime Twist ribbon, and attached on the left-hand side of the front panel.

The adorable watermelons are stamped out using Garden Green and re-stamped using Parakeet Party - you wouldn't believe how "authentic" this makes the watermelon rind look.  The wedges are stamped in Sweet Sorbet, the rinds in Garden Green and Parakeet Party, and the seeds in Memento Tuxedo Black.  Did you know the new Modern Oval Punch, will punch out your full-sized watermelon?  Whoo hooo.  The wedges are an easy peasy fussy cut!!

Everything here is popped with dimensionals and layered.

It's all finished off with a Lemon Lime Twist bow, and embellishments from the Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems.

The stamping of the leaves from the front is echoed on the inside of the card . . .

 

And on the flap of the envelope!  I also created this same look across the left-hand corner on the front of the envelope.  "No Naked Envelopes" !!!  LOL

Creating Memories Mondays ~~ One More "Late" Post - Home for the Holidays

Hello Fellow Stampers ~~  

Happy Monday!!  I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!!  We had a fast moving and BIG snowstorm here.  14" of snow fell in about 5 to 6 hours during the day on Saturday (starting at about 10:30 am).  It was crazy!!  LOL  

                                   

Here's a "morning after" pic - right at sunrise.  It was quite the Winter Wonderland outside.  We shoveled throughout the previous afternoon trying to keep up.  It's always a trick when it snows like this here in Colorado!!  But things are warm and sunny and melting fast, which is also a Colorado thing!!  LOL

 

I have one more "late" post I had intended to share in late December/early January.  And then we're going to kick off a Week of Sale-a-Bration and head into some Valentine fun as well!! 

This will be part of an occasional new "installment" series called Creating Memories Mondays where I'll be sharing scrapbooking-style layouts for your memory keeping creative fun!

This double-page layout showcases the fun elements found in the October "Home for the Holidays" Paper Pumpkin kit and "Add On" kit.  I loved this kit.  Paper Pumpkin has just gotten better and better over the years.

I took various elements from the kit and from the "Add On" to create this fun layout.

 

I used 12" x 12" sheets of Orchid Oasis cardstock for the backdrop on this layout.  

Then I cute up the pre-printed card bases from the Add-On kit to get pieces of sky and snowscapes that I dispersed in various areas across the sheets.

I then used various houses and trees from the original PP Kit and trimmed them where necessary to create my little vignettes among the spaces laid out for photographs.

Finally, I snuck in some pretty snowflakes, cut from the Wishes All Around Dies (now retired, from the 2023 Holiday Mini Catalog), using Night of Navy Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper (in the Annual Catalog, to add some additional interest and fun!

This will be the perfect layout for a family holiday collection of pictures!!

 

Well, now that we're finally caught up on "belated" posts -- LOL -- we'll be getting in gear with "current" fun!  Get ready for a Week of Sale-a-Bration coming your way shortly!!
