Hi! Here is where we sit down over a cup of coffee or tea and get to know each other. My turn first :-)
I'm a Colorado semi-Native. I qualify for that status because, although I was born in North Dakota, my parents came back to Colorado a short time after I was born and this is all I have ever known as I was raised here. My brother gets the honor of full Colorado Native status as he was born in Boulder, Colorado. I live in the far southwest corner of Unincorporated Jefferson County, or Littleton as it is referred to, in the beautiful south foothills of the Front Range of Colorado. I'm not far from Chatfield Reservoir, Roxborough Park, and a quick jaunt to head west into the beautiful mountains of Colorado. I like to spend my summertime on the Western Slope in the Montrose / Ridgeway areas near the San Juans, and to travel and explore new things with my new husband! We've known each other more than a decade; but only decided recently to make it "permanent." I'm looking forward to married life!! 😉
I am currently an Engineering Aide Sr. Specialist, carrying on the family tradition at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company. I love supporting our country in pursuit of some of the most exciting space exploration and cutting-edge satellite technology around.
But my heart and passion really lies with all things creative. My first love is quilting. However, I can't help exploring all kinds of other crafts -- I taught myself to crochet, I love scrapbooking, and then there's that rubberstamping and paper crafts thing -- LOL. I have dabbled in cardmaking and all things Stampin' Up for over 25 years now. I cannot believe how fast time has gone!!!!! I have been an official Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for more than 5 years already; I have had the honor to serve on the Creative Crew Design Team on SplitCoastStampers, a guest stamper spot with Craft Project Central, prepare a tutorial for SplitCoastStampers on one of my designs, and have won design challenges on both The Paper Players and the Pals Paper Arts challenge sites. I love being able to connect with like-minded creative crafters from around the globe, and cherish the friendships I have made across the miles. Most of all, I adore my in-home classes, and being able to help others bring their craft to the next level.
Meet the inspiration for Doggone Delightful Stampin'. My faithful companion of 12 years, Miss Laredo Mae, inspired the name of my Stampin' Up! adventure. She passed suddenly on us on May 8, 2015. You can read all about this sweet beast HERE. The quiet in the house was too hard; so before you knew it, a new fur baby arrived in June 2015. Miss Laredo was special unto herself, and cannot be replaced. The Studio and house are just not the same without her. Rest In Peace my dear sweet companion.
But . . . . This little angel showed up in our lives, and NOTHING has been the same since then either!! LOL
We have become indelibly attached to this highly active addition to the household - Miss Sadie Ann is this beast's name. And she may look little in this "early" picture - but she's not so little anymore! We turned 4 in April 2019! WOW!! She is non-stop energy; wears mom out!! She LOVES her tennis balls. I can be sitting at my Studio table and suddenly a tennis ball will be plopped in my lap or appear in front of me on the table -- quite an obvious, Play With Me Now, message!! I have to laugh. It's hard to design and throw tennis balls at the same time!! We have spent many hours on walks, playing at the dog park, meeting and making new fur friends, and spending days with our BFFs (Best Furry Friends) while mom is at work. We've become mom's best snugglebug, and love to jump on her in the morning in bed. Oh, and if it's not ALL about the ball - then it's about sneaking treats!! LOL
Miss Sadie would love to share with you from time-to-time, so don't be surprised if you see her pop in on the blog!
Time flies - and I look forward to sharing, inspiring, collaborating, and creating with all of you. Do not hesitate to contact me with ideas or thoughts. I'm always happy and excited to try something new.
And please introduce yourselves -- join me in the comments section, and let's enjoy a cup of tea together :-)
