Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Yippeeee!!! It's Friday!!! And it's our first "working Friday" of 2020 at work; so it has felt like a really, really, really loooooonnnngggg week!! LOL Everyone agreed today -- we just felt like it was one day too many!!
Last weekend I held my first class of 2020. And although we were a small group to kick things off this year; we were a fabulously creative group!! And had tons of fun!! For me it really was all about the project that we worked on last Saturday. I've been wanting to do this calendar for like "Years"!! LOL My fellow Stampin' Pretty Pal, Linda White puts out a similar calendar every year. I can't tell you how many years I've bought the printed calendar portion, and then never got any further -- LOL 😉
I call this my "CD Holder" Calendar -- why?? Because it's a modified CD Holder that you as your "stand" for your calendar. It's so cool and so easy!! 😁
So before we take a look at each month up close and personal, let me just let you know in advance that I have done everything I could to use current, new or "carrying forward" product to design these calendars. Only in VERY rare instances have I pulled an item from my stash that is retired. But YOU may very well have the same item in your stash -- so yeah!!! Here's to our stash's!! LOL
These calendars can be purchased on eBay through this Store Seller: painter410
*Please note when you are scrolling through the products this Seller has for sale, that these calendars do come in various other sizes (and watch the "year" being offered as well; I have already purchased my 2021 calendars). The calendar I am showcasing today is 3-1/2" x 5", so that's the size you would want if you want to make this calendar set.
You can purchase the CD Holder here: Calendar Case
*Again, these holders come in various sizes and styles (and Yes! They are created specifically to hold calendars like this) - which our eBay Seller has calendars that match these different styles and sizes as well.
We are using this specific holder: CD Calendar Case
**You'll note you can buy these in a couple different quantities; like if you wanted to make a bunch as gifts!!
Here is some basics to kick you off:
The Calendar measure: 3-1/2" x 5"
Each Calendar is matted in Basic Black: 3-3/4" x 5-1/4"
Each background colored cardstock that the matted calendar is mounted to is: 4-3/4" x 5-1/2"
January showcases the Snowman Season stamp set from the 2019 Holiday catalog; and the Let It Snow Specialty DSP.
Hint Hint Hint!!! You will be seeing these two products again this Fall 2020 when we debut the holiday mini catalog!! Yeah! 😊
This is an easy and simple layout that you will see repeated throughout the calendars today:
Background DSP: 3" x 2-1/4"
Main Whisper White stamped piece: 2-1/2" x 1-3/4"
Cardstock mat to the Whisper White: 2-5/8" x 1-7/8"
This fabulous month showcases our brand new Heartfelt Bundle and the From My Heart Specialty DSP.
You'll also see the new Heart Doilies in this design.
Love Love Love all the Red Foil accents!!
Here's one of those Rare instances that I used a retired product -- this is one of our "mini" heart punches from a couple of years ago, that I used to create my Shamrock.
BUT . . . the fabulous sentiment is in the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set in the Annual Catalog (pg. 30)
And I snagged a lovely green rhinestone out of the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels for my Shamrock center.
Here's an utterly FABULOUS new product showcase in action!!!
Check out the Under My Umbrella Bundle in the new mini catalog to create this layout!!
The DSP? Comes from the Best Dressed DSP in the mini catalog.
And add a few Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets from the Annual Catalog (pg. 178) to simulate raindrops!!
Oh My!!! I do think this is my favorite month!!!
I ADORE this fabulous stamp set -- that you can ONLY get during Sale-a-Bration; and you can ONLY EARN!! With a minimum $300 Order!!
And I'll give you another hint -- although these cuties are "fussy cut"; our "coordination event" beginning February 4th will have a die set to coordinate with this adorable stamp set!!
Here's a layout that uses DSP from our new mini; and coordinates it with a wonderful stamp set out of the Annual Catalog!!
Perfect! And it feels so summery to me!!
Check out your Lilypad Lake stamp set & dies; and coordinate them to the new Tropical Oasis DSP.
For some reason I ended up "struggling" with my July layout -- I wanted something "celebratory" for the 4th; but not necessarily "typical."
I wasn't so sure I liked this when I got done; but it has been growing on me -- LOL
That's how designing can be sometimes.
I used our Broadway Lights dies to create this. It's been around for awhile; so pull it out and enjoy!!
This fabulous featured set is the Harvest Hellos stamp set & coordinating Apple Builder Punch; both of which carried forward from the holiday catalog (you'll see them on pg. 68 of your Spring Mini).
I actually cut a piece of real live notebook paper for my "whisper white" background.
So it looks like "school" with our wonderful Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch, and Lovely Lipstick In Colors (retiring this year -- so stock up now!!)
This design also features a "carry over" which I'm VERY excited about.
The Gather Together stamp set & Gathered Leaves Dies will be back this Fall!!! Yeah!
And I embossed the background for these leaves with the brand new Coastal Weave ED Embossing Folder from our new Spring Mini (pg. 39).
You'll notice I used the "Baby Wipe" technique for the big leaf -- so pretty - and so easy!!
Here's some fun I snuck in for October!!
Although the DSP is retired -- our kitties and Cat Punch are not!!
Use the Nine Lives stamp set (Annual Catalog pg. 105) and your Light Basic Gray stampin' blend to create a fabulous Halloween Cat!!
Here I went back to the Gather Together set to create a simple layout for November!!
And you can add to this if you want more detail!
Finally, I ended this year with another set that is carrying forward -- as well as some DSP you may have missed this last season.
The DSP is from the Night Before Christmas 6" x 6" DSP in the holiday catalog. I don't think we'll see this one again unfortunately -- but it sure was a fabulous and versatile paper.
The tree is from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set coordinated with the Pine Tree Punch - and yes, this is carrying forward and will be seen again as well!!!
I did not use this set this past season; and I'm sorry I didn't. It's cute as can be!!
Well, there you go!!! A Fabulous Fun project for your Friday!!!
Since I already have my 2021 calendars (LOL), I can start designing a little earlier for next year's calendar set. I certainly plan on doing this class again!!
It was so much fun!!
I Love to hear from you. Leave your questions or comments below!!
Hugs, . . .
