Hello Fellow Stampers ~
I am sure all of you are wondering "where is Wendy?" Well, life happens; and you find sometimes that you have to let go of your plans and expectations. September 2021 will now be written in the McGee household history book as "Corona Virus Month." Basically, I lost the month of September 2021 to being sick!! My least favorite thing whatever the virus I get. But I can tell you that Covid-19 does take it out of ya!! And although I was never sick enough for a hospital or anything like that; it was 16 days of just simple misery and it is taking longer than I would have expected to get back to 100% (and no, my dear husband never caught it -- seems rather unfair to me!!). But enough of my woes -- we are truly on the mend, and it is LONG past time to get back to the Studio and start creating. I'm hoping the creative wave will help me feel a little bit more normal and myself again!!
With the end of September, we left this cycle of Sale-a-Bration behind us. I hope that you all enjoyed Sale-a-Bration and scooped up all the free goodies for yourselves!! October means Halloween is in front of us -- and that means the holiday season is not too far away!! Yikes!! So my plan (let's hope it sticks), is to share Halloween, Fall/Autumn and Christmas all at once this month!! LOL -- Are you ready to get back to creating with me?
Let's kick things off with Week 1 of our 4 Weeks of Halloween fun!
And we're going to have some CASE (Copy and Share Everything) fun today with a Stampin' Up! sample right out of the catalog!!
Have you checked out our Halloween offerings this year? They're pretty fabulous ~~ and that Cute Halloween Suite is truly "Cute"!! haha
Our only issue right now is that the Halloween Punch is backordered - but it's supposed to be in next week; in the meantime, order your items separately rather than in the bundle!!
The adorable Tombstone Treat Boxes make creating this little project a breeze! Watch those pieces - once you fold each side of the box, one is supposed to slide inside the other -- just an FYI!! 😁😁 But when it's all put together - oh my!! How absolutely adorable and easy is this!! Ready to go and decorate to your heart's content!
Using the sample in the catalog (page 50) as our guide, I cut a "window" opening in the "top" box BEFORE I folded it, using a die out of the Seasonal Labels Dies. Then I cut a piece of window sheet approximately 2-3/8" x 3-3/8" and using glue dots I laid it in place. Easy peezy and the perfect "peek" into this adorable coffin treat box!
I chose to make the "larger" box my "bottom" and use the flip side that "slides inside" as the top - so that I could wrap the outer edge of the box with the 1-1/2" Metallic Mesh Ribbon and this way it never gets disturbed! Just looks pretty!
On the top, I used Versamark to stamp the sentiment; then embossed with White Emboss Powder.
I stamped the cute little skull in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut him out -- he's popped with dimensionals after I attached my little ribbon "bundle" with glue dots!
And that cute ribbon is a piece of our Gorgeous Grape 3/8" Sheer Ribbon and the Gray Granite 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon tied with a piece of the Black & White Baker's Twine you'll find in the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack.
It's all finished off with the Cute Stars Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
The best part of all that -- this treat box is deep enough to hold 12 of the Hershey's Nuggets - stacked in 2 layers. You have to be a little creative with how you lay these out -- but that just makes this all the cuter!!
I wrapped each of the nuggets in a piece of DSP from the Cute Halloween 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper collection, cut 3/4" x 3-1/4" to fit around each nugget perfectly!
Now this is a fabulous treat box for your best scary goblin!!
I'm so happy to be back online with all of you! Stay tuned as we get back on track this week -- I have lots of fun planned; and we'll get caught up on all the latest SU! news together too!!
I Love to hear from you. Leave your questions or comments below!!
