Terrific Tuesdays ~ Cute Clever Cats & the Latest SU! Promotions!!

Hello Fellow Stampers ~~

Happy Tuesday!!  Today I've just got to share a fun "cuteness overload" card design with you before we capture what's happening over at Stampin' Up!  Fun before Business, right?!?  

Besides, I can't get enough of this adorable Clever Cat stamp set right now!!  LOL

 

So let's jump right in and have some creative fun to kick off your Tuesday!!

Today's adorable "Clever Cat", is letting us know in no uncertain terms that He's THE Cutest Ever!!!  hahaha

My design today is a classic black & white design, with a little gray to soften the edges - which reflects the cute striped designer paper from the Cute Halloween 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper pack.

I started with a Thick Basic White card base - 4-1/4" x 11", scored @ 5-1/2".

Then I pulled out the Scalloped Contours Dies to create the scalloped edge Basic Black background mat.  Then the designer paper is matted with Basic Gray cardstock; and those two layers are wrapped with a piece of Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon (the same used to create the pretty bow).

Then I used one of the smaller Contours Dies, to create a back drop for the fussy cut "grumpy cat" and his broom, which are popped with dimensionals in the center of the rectangle.

The adorable sentiment (don't you love this font?) is stamped on Basic White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then punched with the Tailored Tag Punch.  A second punch was made from Basic Black cardstock so I could create a shadowed offset look - and then popped in place with dimensionals.

It's all finished off with Matte Black Dots!!

I love the crispness of the black & white on this card -- and "that darn cat" -- LOL

Yikes!  While I've been trying to get my arms wrapped back around things around here, I somehow let World Cardmaking Day fly right by me!!!  (October 2nd, 2021).

As those who have participated before know, I like to do a series of card tutorials through the day on World Cardmaking Day over on the private DDS Dabblers Facebook group.

Sooooo . . .  we're going to have a World Cardmaking Day "make up session" - this coming Saturday, October 9th!!

I'm so sorry to say that time has gotten away on me again!!  It was a bad week on my "real" job this week!!  Just lots of turmoil and upset apple carts these days.  Not a good time really for the powers that be to be making massive changes; but they're doing it!!  So we all have to live with it.

I'm hoping for a quiet weekend; time to really just figure out some creative juices and get myself back on track.  We've been very busy here with our entire yard being ripped out and new landscaping put in.  They're getting close to finished for this year; and then will be back in the early Spring to do some shrubbery and other types of plants.  I'm looking forward to that.  But mostly right now, I'm looking forward to having grass back in my yard again - and being done with the mud!!  LOL
