Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Happy Monday!! For some of you, it may even be a "holiday" -- not here!!! LOL I hope it's a good one for everyone! We've been very busy over this past weekend, as I have been prepping for the Annual Birthday Stamp-a-Stack class this coming Saturday. The crafters will put together 16 cards in one day -- 4 cards of 4 different designs. They'll be working their fingers to the bone!! LOL
So it seems only fitting that we have some Birthday fun this week! I don't know about all of you, but in my family and extended circles, it seems like so many of the birthdays fall during the month of March, starting with my brother's birthday on February 28th -- one day later, and he would have been a March baby, along with my dad on March 7th, and my mom on March 21st. My mom bemoans that "missed" opportunity to this day -- LOL. Seems my brother just wasn't willing to wait one more day to make his debut!!
There's a little stamp set in the Spring Mini catalog, that has a cuteness factor x25 -- LOL
It's called Best Day, and it's a great stamp set for practicing your watercoloring.
I whipped up these two cards in no time, with just slight design adjustments in each.
Both card designs use designer paper from the Dandy Designs designer paper collection. This one showcases greens and purples - I used Fresh Freesia as my mat backing; and Parakeet Party as my stampin' blend color for the cupcake liner.
The Stylish Shapes Dies and Tailored Tags make this an easy card to put together in a flash!!
On the other card I incorporated Fresh Freesia again; this time with the Mango Melody/Crushed Curry/Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral accents.
I also used the Scalloped Contour Dies to create the mat background for this card, and doesn't that just step it up and make it "fancy"!!!
With a slight change in measurements due to the die cut background, the tag sits at a slightly different position, and the Calypso Coral is a nice pop against the background of this card.
Stampin' Blends make coloring easy as pie! (or cupcakes - LOL)
My kitty is a combination of Daffodil Delight and Pale Papaya. The accents are Calypso Coral and Fresh Freesia.
Ribbon, baker's twine, and Iridescent Gems finish this cute card!!
The fonts in this stamp set have a cute whimsy to them and along with the adorable images are a great finisher to the inside of your card.
So, which one of the cards above do you think is my favorite ?? 😉😉
I Love to hear from you. Leave your questions or comments below!!
Hugs, . . .
